There are times when all we need is to freshen up. Our skin may be blotchy, discoloured or dull from too much sun, too little care, or just a simple case of aging.
At Halley, we rejuvenate the body in two main ways:
Photorejuvenation using Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)
In photorejuvenation (also known as photofacial or skin rejuvenation), medical-grade IPL is used to gently repair collagen in the dermis and stimulate new collagen growth. This leads to improvements in skin texture and smaller pore size. The pulses of light also reach into the epidermis to constrict blood vessels, which reduces facial redness, fine vessels, freckles, pigmentation, and sun damage.
Halley's Intense Light Rejuvenation can be used on areas such as the thighs, legs, and arms.
Chemical peels are effective for gentle sloughing of dead skin and revealing new skin beneath. At Halley, we use a glycolic acid peel, which is suitable for all skin types. It can be used on our body to improve the texture and surface appearance of the skin, improve uneven skin tones by lightening skin blemishes and scars, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
