Laser Rejuvenation - Halley Medical Aesthetics

Laser Rejuvenation

You don’t need to be a Star Wars fan to know that lasers are powerful weapons.

Laser treatments can address a multitude of skin problems, fighting everything from pigmentation, sluggish skin and acne, to large pores and uneven texture. They are equally effective for rejuvenating the face, neck, and even the eye area. But not all lasers are made equal, so it is important to get the right laser treatment for your needs.

At Halley, we offer a range of laser treatments to solve a variety of skin issues. This includes the Fraxel® Dual Laser for rejuvenating the face, neck and eye area, and the Q-Switched Nd:YAG Laser and the Long Pulsed Laser for improving skin tone and texture. If downtime has always been a concern when it comes to laser treatment, the PicoSure® Laser is able to treat ageing concerns of wrinkles and fines lines, acne scars, pigmentation, and tattoos with a recovery time that is shorter compared to traditional non-ablative lasers.

When laser treatment is combined with other treatments and therapies, the results can be even clearer. For instance, Halley’s Signature 4D Complete Face Rejuvenation laser treatment combines several treatments for a holistic approach to rejuvenating the face. Our treatments can also be combined with pampering treatment facials to make skin maintenance a breeze.

1. Fraxel Dual Laser

The Fraxel Dual laser uses a focused beam of light for skin rejuvenation and reducing skin irregularities like scars or blemishes. It is an all-rounder, being able to improve skin texture, attack brown spots and scars, and stimulate collagen production. And being non-ablative (which means it tackles only the deeper layers of the skin, leaving the surface layer intact), the Fraxel Dual Laser promotes new skin growth from inside out, offering faster healing, optimal results with less redness, and less downtime than ablative lasers. It can be used to target problem spots under the eye and for neck rejuvenation too.

2. PicoSure Laser

PicoSure is a picosecond laser treatment approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (US-FDA) that delivers ultra-short pulse bursts of energy to the skin in picoseconds (trillionths of a second). Picosecond pulse creates an intense photomechanical impact known as PressureWave™, which uses a special focused lens to convert laser energy into gentle pressure, and shatter the target particles without destroying the surrounding skin tissue.

Through its highly-targeted energy delivery, PicoSure is able to penetrate the deeper layers of the skin dermis to revitalise the skin by activating the cell signalling, to stimulate collagen and elastin production which is essential for the skin healing.

PicoSure can treat different skin conditions and is especially effective for pigmentation, acne scars, and wrinkles.

The PicoSure laser treatment is best paired with the Rejuran Tone-Up Booster for its wound healing, anti-inflammatory, and regenerative capabilities, which make it a suitable companion for our skin after a laser treatment. It can also lighten pigmentation and even out skin tone for brighter and healthier skin! Click here to find out more about the Rejuran Tone-Up Booster.

Halley’s Signature 4D Complete Face Rejuvenation combines four different laser treatment modes to rejuvenate the skin over a single session. It rejuvenates the face by lifting skin, reducing pores, and improving skin texture and glow. The four laser treatments are:

  • Laser pore rejuvenation: This treatment targets the pores, reducing pore size, and improving skin texture to give the skin a smooth, powdered look.
  • Laser skin tightening: This step reverses ageing by stimulating collagen-producing fibroblasts to accelerate collagen production. By concentrating on the areas near the jawline, cheeks, and under the eyes, this treatment helps lift the skin for that firm, rejuvenated look.
  • Micro-Laser peel: Superficial unhealthy skin is peeled off at this step. The micro-laser peel exfoliates the skin to reveal healthy, smooth skin with lots of glow.
  • Oral face tightening: The step tightens and rejuvenates the face from inside the mouth. This treatment generates collagen to help lift and smoothen out wrinkles around the cheeks, mouth, and smile lines.

4. Long-Pulsed Laser

This versatile, no downtime laser can be used to improve skin texture as well as tighten the skin for the face and neck. It addresses enlarged pores by clearing and rejuvenating pores. Only problematic spots are targeted without harming the surrounding tissue. In a separate treatment mode, the Long Pulsed Laser firms the skin through stimulation of collagen production through cells in the skin called fibroblasts. The laser also targets haemoglobin within the blood vessels, removing fine veins and redness caused by inflammation and acne.

5. Q-Switched Laser

This no-downtime laser targets very small pigment cells and particles to even out the skin tone by removing pigments and reduce pore size and fine wrinkles. It can also restore the fresh glow in your face.

6. Laser Treatment for Skin Lumps

Our skin may develop lesions (lumps and bumps) caused by blocked ducts and glands, or coloured spots such as moles. It is best to have them examined by a doctor to make sure they do not require medical attention. Once they are determined to be benign, lasers are effective for their removal. Skin lumps such as milia, syringoma, and moles are effectively removed with lasers.

7. Fotona SmoothEye Laser for Eye Rejuvenation

The Fotona SmoothEye® treatment utilises the Er:YAG laser beam to tighten loose skin and wrinkles around the eye. The treatment is unique as the inner mucosal layer of the lower eyelid is also treated directly, thereby tightening the ligaments of the lower eyelid. This improves the appearance of eyebags under the eyes and also reduces wrinkles and loose skin around the eyes.

This is a non-surgical treatment that has minimal downtime. The treatment is safe as topical anaesthetic eye drops and eye lubricant will be applied to the eyes and opaque eyeshields will be worn on the eyes, just like contact lenses, for protection during treatment. The doctor would then safely treat the inner mucosal surface of the lower eyelid with the laser to tighten the ligaments of the lower eyelid before treating the skin around the eyes.
