Acne and Acne Scars

Acne occurs when too much sebum, which is an oily or waxy matter produced by the sebaceous glands, is mixed with dead skin cells, forming a plug in the pores of our skin. When our pores are blocked, bacteria sets in and causes redness, swelling, whiteheads, blackheads, and pimples, leading to pus-filled infections, breakouts, wounds, and scarring.

This treatment designed by Halley combines the long pulsed laser, chemical peel, and low level laser light into a single, effective treatment for acne.

Lasers target acne at the source and reduce recurrent breakouts. The Carbon Laser Peel, is effective against oily skin, blackheads, enlarged pores, and lightens acne scars over time, whereas pico lasers target redness caused by inflammation and acne.

Resurfacing lasers remove the layer of skin that has been damaged and scarred by acne, hence lightening hyperpigmentation marks, red spots, and smoothing deep pits and uneven skin texture.
