1. Halley’s Intense Light Hair Removal Intense pulsed light (IPL) is a broad spectrum light source-technology that can remove and minimise the growth of unwanted hair. The IPL travels through the skin until it strikes the hair shafts or the root of the hair. As the light is converted to heat energy, the root and most of the hair shaft are destroyed. The intense heat also destroys the hair-producing papilla, which is a large structure at the base of the hair follicle. It is a fuss-free, gentle process that effectively limits hair regrowth over time. Only follicles that are ‘active’ (at a growth phase) during treatment can be affected and destroyed by the treatment. This is why we recommend maintenance visits of once every one to two months.


2. Laser Hair Removal The Long Pulsed Nd:Yag Laser removes and minimises unwanted hair by using pulses of laser light to inactivate the hair follicle. Laser hair removal is known for its speed and efficacy. Only follicles that are ‘active’ (at a growth phase) during treatment can be affected by the treatment. This is why we recommend maintenance visits of once every two months. This treatment can be conducted only by a doctor.
