What are
Chemical Peels and Masks?
Chemical peels are medical-grade peels for removing the top layer of dead skin cells to reveal fresh, healthy skin underneath.
Facial masks, a staple in a good skincare routine, deliver beneficial ingredients closer and deeper into your skin, infusing your pores and hydrating your skin.
Pairing chemical peels with facial masks allows the skincare ingredients in masks to be absorbed by the skin more deeply.
Benefits of
Chemical Peels
- Lighten pigmentation and acne scars
- Brighten skin tone
- Smooth uneven skin
- Treat acne
- Remove comedone
- Reduce fine lines and wrinkles
How do Chemical
Peels work?
This no downtime medical-grade procedure uses chemicals to achieve controlled-peeling of the skin to remove the top layer of dead and dull skin, comedones, and grime.
This speeds up the collagen remodelling of our skin, allowing the growth of new healthy skin which is smoother, younger, and with less wrinkles and blemishes.
There are various types of chemical peels available, and at Halley, we have three different types of chemical peels:
- Acne Peel (Salicylic Acid)
- Anti-Ageing Peel (Glycolic Acid)
- Whitening Peel (Lactic Acid + Glutathione + Whitening Peel)
Acne Peel
Halley’s Acne Peel is a salicylic acid treatment peel for getting rid of acne breakouts and controlling oily skin.
Salicylic acid cleanses the skin of acne-causing bacteria by exfoliating the top layer of unhealthy skin and unclogging pores. This deep cleansing process reduces sebum secretion and helps to prevent new acne growth. Salicylic acid is also an anti-inflammatory, which reduces swelling acne and calm inflamed acne.
Anti-Ageing Peel
As your skin metabolism drops when you age, this powerful yet gentle peel containing glycolic acid helps put your skin back on track by speeding up the skin renewal process. It sheds dead skin cells to reveal new, glowing, baby soft skin with fewer wrinkle lines.
It also lightens the pigmented, dark spots that you get from old acne scars, age spots, and sun damage. Best of all, the gentle peel is suitable for all skin types, even for sensitive skin.
Whitening Peel
This three-step treatment peel contains four ingredients typically known for skin lightening – lactic acid, glutathione, kojic acid, and arbutin – to brighten skin, lighten pigmentation, and even out skin tone.
Lactic acid peel: Mild, exfoliating milk peel. Lactic acid contains pigment inhibitors for reducing melanin production to lighten our skin colour.
Glutathione peel: Contains antioxidants to erase pigmentation. Reduces sun damage by removing damaged cells and encouraging the production of new cells.
Kojic acid with arbutin peel: Lightens dark sun spots and brightens the overall complexion by enhancing kojic acid’s whitening effect with arbutin’s ability to reduce melanin pigments in the skin.
Combining other treatments
with Chemical Peels
Due to their exfoliating nature, peels prepare our skin so that it can absorb the nutritional benefits of other therapies that are often paired with peels. Masks and light therapies, for instance, are complementary treatments that are often done after peels.
Halley’s Rejuvenating Glycolic Peel
with Vitamin C Infusion Treatment
The rejuvenating Anti-Ageing Peel (Glycolic Acid) is often paired with Halley’s Vitamin C Infusion Treatment. The anti-ageing peel first sloughs away dead skin which prepares the skin for maximum absorption of vitamin C serum via iontophoresis. Gentle electric pulses push the serum to where it is needed to heal photodamaged skin, rejuvenate the skin, improve skin tone, and treat acne.

PDRN
Healing Mask
PDRN, a brand of doctor-administered skin healer treatment, has a series of PDRN facial masks for skin maintenance at home and post treatment. Its PDRN Healing Mask is a hydrating mask that contains a cosmetic version of polydeoxyribonucleotides (c-PDRN), centilla callus extracts, and other ingredients like vegetable collagen to:
- Hydrate and plump up the skin
- Promote skin elasticity
- Whiten the skin
c-PDRN stimulates our skin’s fibroblasts to produce collagen and has regeneration abilities.
PDRN Recover
Soothing Mask
This mask soothes and accelerates healing of acne-prone skin and irritated skin due to sun exposure. Its wound healing ability helps speed up the skin’s healing process after an aesthetic treatment.
The mask also contains low, medium, and high molecule hyaluronic complex to lift and hydrate the skin. The key ingredients in this mask include c-PDRN, fucoidan (algae extract), panthenol, allantoin, hyaluronic acid, and other soothing ingredients, which:
- Hydrate and plump up the skin
- Whiten the skin
- Improve appearance of fine lines
- Repair and calm damaged skin
Cooling
Mask
This chamomile-infused cooling mask is applied after a pico laser treatment. It keeps the skin hydrated and reduces the swelling and redness after the laser treatment.
ECO2 Mask with
Low Laser Light Therapy
The ECO2 mask introduces oxygen to the skin, which boosts cell metabolism, creates new collagen and elastic fibre cells, and improves its healing potential.
This mask is often combined with low level laser light therapy, which is the therapeutic use of low level incident light energy to address skin issues as well as aid skin rejuvenation. It works by shining deep penetrating red light emitting diode (LED) light on the face for firming, skin rejuvenation, anti-ageing, and for addressing pigmentation issues. A blue LED light is used for treating oily skin and acne.
