Light and RF Treatments

When we wish someone more light and love, the benefits are greater than we think. Light can be healing to the skin and slow down the aging process too.

1. Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)

Photo rejuvenation with intense pulsed light (IPL) is a light-based treatment that rejuvenates the skin by lightening skin pigments, reducing fine lines, evening out skin tone, reducing pore size and reducing redness on the face due to issues like rosacea (adult acne) and dilated blood vessels. IPL can also be used for hair removal.

IPL works by emitting high intensity pulses of light to penetrate the skin. These light pulses are selectively absorbed by pigmentation, hair and other structurse to produce its beneficial effects. Over time it also stimulates collagen formation, reducing fine lines.

Halley’s Intense Pulsed Light Acne Treatment uses the IPL’s ability to specifically target pigment cells to even out skin discoloration, lighten acne scars, and improve skin tone.

2. Photodynamic Light Therapy (PDT)

Photodynamic light therapy (PDT) is the therapeutic use of low-level incident light energy to address skin issues as well as aid skin rejuvenation. It works by shining deep penetrating light emitting diode (LED) light on the face which penetrates the skin cells to heighten their internal functions.

Halley’s Intense Power of Red Light is a PDT for firming, skin rejuvenation, anti-aging, and for addressing pigmentation issues. If oily skin and acne are giving you problems, then there is Halley’s Intense Power of Blue Light to the rescue.

3. Radio Frequency (RF)

RF treatments are effective for stimulating the skin into renewing itself. It uses RF energy to penetrate the skin and heat skin tissue to stimulate collagen fibres and fibroblast cells. This produces new collagen and elastic fibres, which in turn tightens and rejuvenates the skin. The results are firmer and smoother-looking skin.

At Halley, we use a combination of three technologies — multi-polar radio frequency (RF), red light-emitting diode (LED) therapy, and vacuum-suction lymph massage — to slim, contour, and tighten the areas that you want to treat. Called Halley’s Super Trio RF treatment, this no downtime therapy can be used on areas such as the abdomen, thigh area, arms, face, and neck.
