Labour of Love | Halley Medical Aesthetics

You know our name, but do you know our story?

True beauty is rare, elusive, and fleeting – just like Halley’s Comet. When that magical cloud of stardust visits Earth’s orbit just once or twice in every century, it is greeted with breath-taking anticipation. And if you are fortunate to have seen its beauty, you will never forget it.

At Halley Medical Aesthetics, we want you to be just as beautiful, desirable, and unforgettable.

We put our heart into finding and delivering treatments that are optimal for each patient. Because our clinic is passionate about unveiling a version of you that is beautiful and confident inside and out.

Everything we do is a labour of love.

Beauty begins at Halley: Our doctors

Dr. Terence Tan, Medical Director, Halley Medical Aesthetics

MBBS (Singapore), MRCS (Edinburgh), M.Med (Surgery) (Singapore)

Why did I start Halley Medical Aesthetics?

To me, nothing is more important than inner beauty. It gives a person confidence and an aura that money can’t buy, and no doctor can create. It is good to improve your skin condition or body shape to feel confident about your physical self. But what is most important is to cultivate your inner beauty and be confident about who you are.

That is why I started Halley Medical Aesthetics: To help people to uncover that confidence. I like to emphasise that we are all made differently hence we need different methods to achieve our face and body goals – there’s no one size fits all. My goal is to find a method that is optimal and suitable for each patient.

At Halley Medical Aesthetics, we use a combination of modern, tried-and-tested medical tools and techniques that are on-trend and non- or minimally-invasive to achieve the desired result.

Confidence is not something that a medical aesthetics doctor can give you. It comes from within you.

Dr. Por Yong Chen, Visiting Consultant Plastic Surgeon

MBBS, MMed (Surg), MRCSEd, FAMS (Plastic Surg)

Everything we do at Halley is a Labour of Love. That is why we are always looking at improving our services to the people who matter the most – our patients! We want our patients to be given the same care and attention if they should ever need the help and insight of a plastic surgeon. As an expansion of this philosophy, we are therefore very excited to have Dr. Por Yong Chen, a fully-accredited Plastic Surgeon on board as Halley’s Visiting Consultant Plastic Surgeon.

Dr. Por will give us an added dimension to our philosophy with his surgical expertise to improve the provision of our body and facial medical aesthetic treatments and also add plastic surgery to our arsenal of weapons to combat ageing!

About Dr. Por Yong Chen

Dr. Por’s focus is in Facial Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Surgical Body Contouring. Before he went into private practice, Dr. Por was the Head of Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. He was also a recipient of the Owen Cole Young Investigator’s Award and Young Surgeon’s Award.

Apart from clinic duties, Dr. Por is also actively involved in mission trips and charity work organised by Smile Asia to treat children suffering from cleft lip and palate anomalies in Third World countries. In his free time, Dr. Por also enjoys the art of photography, an intensely gratifying hobby which similar to plastic surgery, requires precision, an eye for detail and a sense of aesthetics to capture the beauty of that perfect moment.
